the way to kórinn

All guests must take the shuttle bus from Smáralind

  • All traffic to Kórinn will be closed, and guests will be directed to special shuttle buses operated by Strætó from Smáralind.
  • The shuttle bus stops directly at Kórinn and is therefore the only way to reach the venue.
  • Shuttles begin at 17:30 from the north end of Smáralind (by Fífuhvammsvegur) and will run back and forth until all guests have returned from Kórinn.
  • The bus stop will be clearly marked, and staff on site will ensure everything runs smoothly (see map below for details).
  • Shuttle buses are free of charge for ticket holders.
  • Please arrive early. Each journey may take up to 30 minutes, and guests arriving after 19:30 are not guaranteed entry before the concert begins at 20:00.

Taxis

  • Taxis have special permission to enter the neighborhood and access a designated drop-off point approximately 200 meters from the venue (see location on the overview map at the top of the page).
  • Please note that the number of taxis in the capital area is limited. We do not recommend relying heavily on taxis, especially after the concert. Guests choosing this option are encouraged to arrive early.

Drop-off and Pick-up not allowed inside road closures

  • It will not be possible to drive private vehicles directly to Kórinn, and there will be no parking within the road closure area.
  • Please note that parking spaces at nearby apartment buildings are private property.
  • Guests must use the shuttle service from Smáralind, where there is big parking space.

Accessible Parking (P Permit)

  • Accessible parking spaces will be available at Kórinn and are reserved exclusively for P-permit holders who have tickets to the concert.
  • Access to these spaces will be via Þingmannaleið, down Heimsendi, and from there into the parking area at Kórinn. (See map at the top of the page.)
  • Please note that parking spaces are limited. We encourage guests planning to use accessible parking to arrive early, as we cannot guarantee availability for all vehicles with P permits..
  • Guests using municipal disability transport services may be dropped off directly at the venue at the P permit area.
  • Vehicles displaying a P permit may access the area for drop-off and pick-up (see map for location).
  • Please note that vehicles with P permits will only be granted access if the permit holder has a valid concert ticket. A concert ticket must be presented to gain access.

ticket scanning, entrances and sections

Please have your ticket ready for scanning upon arrival to speed up entry and reduce delays. Tickets were sent by email after purchase and come from Tix ticketing ([email protected])

  • Please note that showing the email confirmation alone is not sufficient. You must download the PDF ticket containing the barcode and information about section, row, and seat.
  • Your concert ticket specifies your section.
  • There are two entrances outside Kórinn. Please use the entrance that corresponds to the section indicated on your concert ticket.
  • Floor – Sections A, B, C.
  • Balcony – Section D.
  • Please use the entrance that corresponds to your section.
  • Once inside, locate your section.
  • It is clearly indicated on your ticket, and signage on site will help guide you. Once you have found your section, locate your row and seat.

Guests in Wheelchairs and Those with Limited Mobility

  • The wheelchair area is located in Section D (balcony), with entry through the entrance marked “Stúka” (Balcony).
  • Guests with floor seats who have difficulty walking may use the balcony entrance and take the elevator down to the floor level.

To save time upon arrival, we recommend familiarizing yourself with the seating layout in advance (see section map).

organization at kórinn

  • Here you can see the layout inside and around Kórinn. The venue has two levels: the floor seating is on the lower level and the balcony seating is on the upper level. There is a separate entrance for the balcony and a separate entrance for the floor.
  • We encourage guests to review the following images and familiarize themselves in advance with where to enter and where services are located on each level.
  • Guests are expected to remain in their designated area throughout the concert.
  • It is helpful to know in advance which section you are seated in; you will find your seat once you have entered the correct section.
  • Clear signage will be in place on site, and plenty of staff will be available to assist you.
